Steve Johnstone - Director
Steve has over 25 years of experience working as a Chartered Accountant in Professional Practice, and Industry, and is the founder of Roscoe Management Limited, which acts as a business adviser specialising in loan workout advisory, and asset management of property based operations.
In recent years, Steve has worked with other professionals to undertake specific loan workout and turnaround assignments for Loan Servicers operating in the distressed UK & European debt market.
These assignments have varied from
- hands-on active management and execution of loan exit strategies
- monitoring and support roles to lenders
- business strategic reviews
Prior to becoming an independent business adviser and manager, Steve was UK Finance Director for Bridgehouse Capital, an investor in distressed real estate opportunities.
Steve was a key member of the management team at Bridgehouse Capital that stabilised and exited a distressed hotel and commercial property portfolio with debts exceeding £650m, and worked with Special Servicers to undertake a financial & asset management loan workout over a 5-year period. He also undertook debt raising and corporate due diligence on distressed and non-distressed business opportunities, including a buy and build strategy for a £700m UK data centre property portfolio.
Prior to moving into industry, Steve worked at Deloitte in London where his Property and Construction clients were predominantly large family and trust controlled businesses. His role at Deloitte included providing corporate finance advice to clients, including publicly listed entities.
Steve brings a wealth of business advisory knowledge, and business management experience to all client situations.
Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Member of the Menzies LLP team of Business Consultants.
